- Non-exclusive
Contract: The
publisher’s non-exclusive publishing agreement allows you to
pursue arrangements with traditional publishers while enjoying a
generous 20% royalty—higher than industry standards.
- Custom Cover: Your
book will have a custom-designed, four-colour cover, created with your
input, by the publisher’s professional book designers. You can
submit your own ideas and/or pictures.
- eBook setup: Your manuscript will also be published in the
Adobe Acrobat eBook Reader format and you'll receive one free copy of
your eBook.
- Unlimited Copy
editing: Regardless of
amount of editing required or length of your book, we will check for
errors and (if required) give your manuscript a finished polish with
our copy editing service.
- Distribution:
Your trade paperback book will have a unique ISBN number, as well as
inclusion in RR Bowker's "Books in Print." This means that
your book will appear on online retailers like Barnes & Noble and
Amazon.com, and customers can order your book at over 25,000
traditional booksellers worldwide. If you choose the hardcover option,
your hardcover book will also be available to order from online
retailers like Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com, and over 25,000
traditional booksellers worldwide.
- Great
Discounts: You get great
volume discounts when you purchase your own books for personal
distribution and sale.
- Quick
Availability: Your book
is ready for sale in just 90 days or less—months faster than
industry standards.
- Marketing
Toolkit: The
publisher’s professional Marketing Toolkit includes a set of
templates for creating your own press release; sell sheet, event sign,
post card, bookmark, business card, poster and banner ad, as well as
guidelines explaining how to use each of these tools to drive sales of
your book. (You will need
an Internet-ready computer to take advantage of this facility, but we
can also provide a flier or brochure of your book on disc or in
printed form.)
- Author Resource
Centre: You get access to
the publisher’s Author Resource Centre, along with hundreds of other
related articles and columns about the writing and publishing
industry. (Again, you will need a computer with Internet connection to
take advantage of this.)
- You own account
with the publisher. You
will also receive a unique page on the publisher’s website that
provides easy access to your personalized account information 24 hours
a day, seven days a week. (Here,
again, you will need an on-line computer.)
- Author Web Pages: You will receive an author biography page and a
book detail page in the Diadem Books website and in the
Optional
Features:
- Hardcover (£199 or $230): Choose this option and your
manuscript will also be produced as a 6x9 hardcover book. The
hardcover format features a durable cloth binding, an embossed spine
and a full colour dust jacket.
- Graphics.
If you wish to have graphics (pictures) included in the text body of
the book, these are at an additional cost of £79 ($99) per 25
graphics (maximum of 50). The graphics within the book are only
reproduced in black and white (greyscale), though the cover is
in full colour. You are welcome to use your own cover design, bearing
in mind that the graphic or image needs to be in TIF format in 300dpi
(dots per square inch). However, the cover design team is excellent at
implementing your own ideas for the cover—all you need do is
describe the way you would like the cover to look. You can also submit
a sample picture or drawing as a guide for the cover artist. There is
no extra charge for the cover design, or for the use of your own
graphic.
