Seeing
God through the Human Body
is a head-on confrontation
with Charles Darwin’s Theory
of Evolution. In it, a
medical doctor and
creationist uses his
learning and insight as a
doctor to defuse the theory
of evolution and make a case
in favour of God Almighty,
in the creation of the human
body. Appealing to common
sense and drawing upon his
medical knowledge, the
author argues that the
functioning of the various
organs of the body are so
intricate that they could
only have come about through
remarkably clever
forethought and planning.

From
the FOREWORD written by Dr
Charles Muller:
“”Dr. Robert
Peprah-Gyamfi is a
Creationist par excellence!
It is indeed gratifying that
a medical doctor like Dr.
Peprah-Gyamfi should use his
leanings and insights as a
doctor to make the case for
Creationism, which gives the
Lord Almighty full credit
for the creation of
Humankind as recorded in the
Bible. Having read his book,
I have to yield to the clear
evidence of a Divine
Creator–I can see no reason
why any readers will not
perceive for themselves the
incredible uniqueness of the
intelligence that has surely
gone into the various
systems that keep the human
body alive and functioning.
The brain, heart, liver,
kidneys, spine—all of these
and many more could only
have come about through
remarkably clever
forethought and planning.””

About the
author
Dr
Peprah-Gyamfi grew up in
Mpintimpi, a small village
in Ghana. In a sense, he is
a man not entirely unlike
Abram, called by the Lord
God to leave the country of
his birth and find a new
land where a promise would
be fulfilled. He received a
vision from the Lord, seeing
a tableau in which he had
the assurance that a time
would come when he would be
greeting fellow Christians
in Europe. That vision was
the guiding light and
strength that sustained him
through all the hurdles and
seemingly hopeless plights
until he fulfilled his goal.
At the beginning of 2006, Dr
Peprah-Gyamfi moved from
Germany to the UK to further
pursue his mission of
writing and speaking in
defence of the Christian
Faith. He is the founder of
‘Thank You Jesus Ministry’,
an Internet, Radio and TV
Ministry.
FROM THE
PREFACE:
When I
attended the first year
Zoology course at the
University of Natal way back
in 1962, the distinguished
looking Professor of Zoology
surprised the students by
climbing onto a table at the
front of the lecture
theatre. He then assumed a
crouching position on all
fours. “This is how we
walked about a long time
ago,” he announced. Then he
transferred his weight to
his feet and stood up in a
crouching position. “This is
how we stood up many years
later, like the gorillas,”
he continued. Gradually he
became more erect. “Later,
like the Neanderthal man, we
were nearly erect,” he said,
before assuming his normal
erect position. “This,” he
said, “is how we became
human – through a long
process of evolution as a
result of countless
mutations and natural
selection. You need to
remember this, since it is
fundamental to all that you
are going to learn about in
Zoology.”
I was
shocked. I knew all about
Darwin’s theory of
evolution, of course, and,
like Charles Kingsley, the
Victorian author, even
considered it feasible as
the method God chose to
create mankind, conceding
that the account in Genesis
might well have been meant
as a parable of the creation
process. I never expected
the theory, however, to be
presented as fact and Gospel
truth – especially in a
university course!
So many years
later, now, in 2008, I am
equally surprised –
pleasantly so – to find that
the Creationists are gaining
ground, in spite of the
audacity of scientists like
Professor Dawkins whose in
his TV series unashamedly
denies the existence of a
Divine Designer.
Dr Robert
Peprah-Gyamfi is a
Creationist par excellence!
It is indeed very gratifying
that a medical doctor like
Dr Peprah-Gyamfi should use
his leaning and his insights
as a doctor to put the case
for the Creationists – where
the Lord Almighty is given
full credit for the creation
of mankind as recorded in
the Bible. Having read
through his book, I have to
yield to the clear evidence
of a Divine Creator – and I
can see no reason why any
reader will not perceive,
for themselves, the
incredible uniqueness of the
intelligence that has surely
gone into the various
systems that keep the human
body alive and functioning.
The brain, the heart, the
liver, the kidneys, the
spine – all of these and
many more could only have
come about through
remarkably clever
forethought and planning.
What is more,
each and every human being –
unlike the animals that have
supposedly given rise to the
human being – is remarkably
unique, which again shows
the hand of God. “There are
no ordinary people,” C.S.
Lewis wrote. “You have never
talked to a mere mortal.”
And it’s true – each one of
us is a special creation of
God. Believe it or not, but
no one else is just like you
or me. Your physical
appearance, your voice, your
personality traits – all
these make you one of a
kind. Even your fingerprints
distinguish you from any
other human being.
What is more,
each and every one of us is
valuable to God, made in his
own image – every hair on
our heads having been
numbered! We are, as Dr
Peprah-Gyamfi says, quoting
the psalmist, “fearfully and
wonderfully made”. The
human body, without
exaggeration, is a miracle –
or better still, a sum total
of miracles. Indeed, there
are thousands upon
thousands, if not millions
upon millions, yes even
billions upon billions, of
miracles simultaneously at
work in our body to keep us
going. Appealing to common
sense and drawing upon his
medical knowledge, the
author lays bare the sheer
wonder of our design – and
any thinking man and woman
will surely see that what he
reveals is true – that
behind it all is a loving
and patient Creator, who
sustains us, even the
atheist who denies Him! The
fact is that we are precious
to God, who continues to
love us even when we pay him
no mind, or even when we
deny his existence.

This inspiring story tells
of the courage of a young
Ghanaian boy who, having
failed to achieve his aim to
become a medical doctor by
attending a university in
Ghana or by virtue of a
scholarship to the USSR,
raised funds by working on a
building site in Nigeria to
pay for a daring one-way
flight to East Berlin to
become an asylum seeker in
West Berlin—a route by which
he realised his dreams and
became a medical doctor in
Germany.
How can words describe the
huge difference between life
in a little village in a
typical developing country
in Africa and that of a city
in the sophisticated West?
Well, that exactly is what
the book sets out to
achieve.

The author, a
medical doctor in the UK,
revisits his native Ghana
after 13 years' absence to
find many positive changes
and developments in spite of
lingering economic and
social problems. The book is
a fascinating journey of
discovery for the reader new
to Ghana, but will be
enjoyed by Ghanaian readers
too.
