True Colours is a thick, sexy book, about falling
in love with the wrong person, but also demonstrates that happiness can
come in so many different packages.
Book Description
Falling in love for the first time to someone as supercilious as Patrick,
Abby is doomed from the beginning. But there are silver linings to all her
clouds and with many special people in her life this mid-twenties interior
designer is destined for unexpected happiness.
Coping with the heartache of losing her first child, she is protected
throughout by James, her childhood friend. He adores her and would do
anything for her, but there is a past secret that means fate must keep
them from being lovers. What’s more, added confusion arises when Abby
finds herself drawn to a person she least expected to fall in love with.
Tinged with sadness but lightened with joy, this is a story set to warm
the heart of all its readers.
About the author
Having
recently bought a house with her mother Pat, the author exercises her
talents in interior design and creating a home for both of them and their
two black Labradors Charley and Molly. Apart from writing she has a huge
passion for travelling and, with family in Egypt, USA, South Africa and
friends in the Lake District, she has a wide range of holiday venues. She loves the simple things in life, too—taking her dogs
for a walk, bird watching and photographing scenic views.

Inspirational book shows way forward
AUTHOR Susannah George is an inspiration to us all.
Although the book she has written is a novel,
she has drawn on her own experiences for the storyline for True
Colours.
As a schoolgirl Susannah, like many young
people, was bullied by fellow pupils.
Because of her unhappiness, she developed a
hatred for school and stopped eating. She got thinner and thinner
and became anorexic.
When she was started at a new school Susannah
was given counselling but found this did not work for her and
instead battled her way through her problems with the help of her
family.
Susannah's determination and approach shows
that there is a way through the problems that often beset our
teenagers.

Emma Hardy writes: "Her story is
worthy of the pages of a novel and that is exactly what Susannah
has drawn inspiration from in her first book, True Colours,
which goes on sale in the Cambridge branch of Heffers on Trinity
Street in September."
