Humour and irony combine to give piquancy to these 15 short stories which fall into three different genres—Life’s Tapestry; Village Tales; Strange Happenings

Book Description

This is a collection of fifteen short stories of varying length, with a touch of humour and irony, ranging from everyday events to the supernatural. The author has drawn on his experiences during his travels through the United Kingdom and abroad as well as on his intimate knowledge of village life. It is a book to be picked up and dipped into as a respite in the hustle, bustle and cynicism of daily living.

About the author

Bryan George was born in Glasgow but spent his early life in Kilmarnock. He is a chartered engineer with a degree in engineering. In midlife he left the security of a large company and set out on his own. Technically sound but commercially naïve, he struggled, survived and found a big new world.

His choice of career was influenced by his now severe congenital deafness which he says has proved to be more an asset than a hindrance to his writing, making him concentrate to hear what people actually say.
